Shambhala Art can be seen as a process, a product, and an arts education program.  As a process, it brings wakefulness and awareness to the creative and viewing processes through the integration of contemplation and meditation.  As a product, it is art that wakes people up. Shambhala Art is also an international non-profit arts education program based on the Dharma Art teachings of the late Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, the founder of Shambhala Buddhism, Shambhala International, and Naropa Institute.  Shambhala Art is a division of Shambhala and is presided over by his son and heir, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. This program is taught by trained and authorized Shambhala Art teachers.

  • Westside Shambhala Center 3777A Grand View Boulevard Los Angeles, CA, 90066 United States (map)

Shambhala Art is pleased to invite all Parts 1 - 3 Teachers who have attended Sacred World to participate in this teacher training for Parts 4 and 5. Currently authorized Parts 1 - 5 Teachers are also warmly invited to refresh their skills and contribute their wisdom.

During this program, participants will reconnect with the view of Shambhala Art and the principles taught in Parts 1 - 3. Following the completion of the training, participants will need to schedule a follow-up conversation by Zoom with Steve Saitzyk to receive any updates to their teaching authorizations. Note that participation in this training does not automatically lead to expanded approval.
